1943 Registration of the Rotor World Service company in the Swiss Trade Register by Alice and Walter Ritschard-Jampen: Trading with kitchen machines and equipment, especially for large families and self-caterers.
1949 Great success at the KABA, the bernese cantonal exhibition in Thun, which lasted several months.

As a result of this success, it was decided to place a contract for the construction and production of our own machines. In the former headquarters at Riedernstrasse 7, the present workshops and depot of the municipality of Uetendorf, activities were continually extended, the spare parts store and service centre were set up and the first assembly work carried out.


1959/60 Construction of the factory building at Riedernstrasse 9 in Uetendorf near Thun.
1970

The Rotor Gastronom extends the product range. Until then, only the Rotor-Rekord multi-purpose kitchen machine was manufactured and sold mainly at trade fairs.


1973 Transformation of the company into the “Rotor AG” and its sale to the Staehli and Muehlematter families. New strategy: away from the household kitchen machines toward machines for gastronomy, bakeries, confectioneries and industrial food-processing.
Concentration on export and trading.
1979

Extension of the factory building at Riedernstrasse 9.


Foundation of the “Rotor GmbH” subsidiary company in Hallein, Austria.

Development and construction of fruit and vegetable juicers and heat-pump heating units.


1982 Development and construction of drink blenders.
1984 Development and construction of peeling and drying machines.
1986 Development and construction of plug-on vegetable cutters for beater-mixers.
1988 Purchase and introduction of the first ERP system.
Sale of household machines discontinued for good.
1989 Enlargement of the office facilities at Riedernstrasse 9.
1990 Introduction of the first CAD system in the R&D department.
Heat pump activities terminated.
1991 Establishment of the Rotag Holding AG company by the family Muehlematter.
Complete incorporation of the companies "Rotor AG " and “Rotor GmbH” in the "Rotag Holding AG"
1996   Development and construction of plug-on mincers for beater-mixers.
1997 Purchase of the “Lips Maschinen AG” company in Arni (Canton Aargau) by the Rotag Holding AG.
Expansion of the sales and customer service organisations in Switzerland
Development and construction of vegetable cutting machines.
2004

Construction of a new factory building

     
Merger with "Lips Machines Ltd". New Name: "Rotor Lips Ltd."
